Meet our Consultants

Janayda H.

Janayda Hernandez, an undergraduate junior at UMass Boston, is passionate about aiding fellow students in developing their writing skills, particularly in structuring compelling essay introductions using creative writing maps. When not immersed in academia, she unwinds by immersing herself in music and embarking on journeys of exploration to new destinations. With a blend of her writing expertise and adventurous spirit, Janayda strives to leave a positive impact on her peers' academic journeys and personal experiences.

Anne L.

Anne (she/her) is a graduate student in English literature from Schenectady, New York. Although she studies contemporary literature, she also loves meeting with STEM students of all grade levels. In her spare time, Anne enjoys writing Shakespearean sonnets, playing guitar, and attending rock concerts.

Jack L.

Jack (he/him) is a PhD student in Sociology with a focus on online communities and Internet-based groups. His favorite part about working with writers is getting to help take all of the incredible ideas stuck in their heads and translating them into words on a page. Outside of academia, Jack enjoys music and video games, and also loves to cook.

Lauren R.

Lauren (she/her) is an undergraduate sophomore pursuing a bachelor's degree in English. She is excited to help writers in all stages of the writing process improve their academic and creative works. Her favorite book genre is science fiction and she has a pet tarantula named Vicky.

Stephanie R.

Stephanie (she/her) is a graduate student in English on the teaching licensure path from Richmond, VA, and she got her undergrad from the University of Kentucky, where she also double minored in criminology and sociology. She enjoys consulting with writers in all phases of their writing, and specializes in thesis writing and analysis expansion. In her spare time, Stephanie can be found drinking coffee, reading, and exploring Boston, since she’s new to the area.

Sophia S.

Sophia (she/her) is an undergraduate student in her third year of the English major from North Attleboro, Massachusetts. She loves working on essay organization as well as generating ideas to get the writing process going. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her cat Gus, finding new music, and going out with friends.

Neeti S.

Neeti (she/her) is an international undergraduate student pursuing a double major in Information Technology and English. Neeti finds joy in assisting writers during consultations to enhance their academic paper writing process. Beyond academics, Neeti loves indulging in artistic endeavors and exploring the creative realms.

Amelia T.

Amelia (she/her) is an undergraduate Anthropology student with a passion for cultural and religious studies. She values being encouraging, easy to talk to, and understanding in sessions together to help ease the stress we navigate as students! Outside of campus, she spends as much time as she can with her pets and loved ones while also dabbling in different forms of art.

Anny P.

Anny (they/them) is an undergraduate English Major from Lynn, Massachusetts. They feel most comfortable helping others with the structure of essays, organization of ideas, and giving reading tips to better reinforce the papers being written. Additionally, they speak Spanish and are willing to work with writers who speak Spanish or any of the other Latin languages. With their free time, they like to enjoy time with their friends and family (mainly her dog Kasy), reading/writing, and taking long walks around where they lives.
