Ipswich Harbor and Waterways Plan
The Town of Ipswich, led by the Harbor Committee and the Office of the Harbormaster, with support from the Urban Harbors Institute (UHI) at the University of Massachusetts Boston, is embarking on the development of the Ipswich Harbor and Waterways Plan. Below is a link to the DRAFT Ipswich Waterways Management Plan.
DRAFT Ipswich Waterways Management Plan
This plan will serve as a guide for public and private decision making on the future of the harbor and waterfront. The plan will set forth a vision for the harbor and include steps to accomplish that vision.
The Ipswich Waterways Advisory Committee held a public meeting on January 30th at 6:30 PM in Conference Room A on the 2nd floor of Town Hall and presented highlights from the plan and received public comments/questions. The video coverage from that meeting can be watched here.
If you would like to share comments or questions in writing, please send them to IpswichHarborPlan@gmail.com by Tuesday, February 7th.
All are welcome to hear about the planning process, ask questions, and provide comments.
To be added to an email list to receive updates about this project, please email Kimberly Starbuck (UHI) at Kimberly.Starbuck@umb.edu.
