• Undergraduate Students: Enrolled in 9+ credits
• Graduate Students: Enrolled in 7+ credits
• International Students: All matriculating international students enrolled in 1+ credit hours are automatically enrolled in the SHP and cannot waive it unless covered by an embassy-sponsored plan, acceptable US-based insurance, or a Massachusetts Connector Plan covering medical evacuation and repatriation. 

Undergraduate students enrolled in less than 9 credits: May be able to purchase health insurance through UMass Boston. Email bursar@umb.edu for more information.

All other students should inquire about their insurance eligibility by contacting the Bursar's Office.

2. New students need to "Create a New Account" and follow instructions for creating and logging into the account.
3. Once logged in, click on "Student Options" and then "Print ID Card(s)."
