Stephanie Hurd
Biography
I am a postdoctoral researcher in the VirusPlus+ lab run by Dr. Nichola Hill at UMB. My research investigates connections between climate change and anthropogenic drivers, gull colonies, and avian influenza transmission in Alaska. I am also a part-time researcher in Dr. Albert Kao’s lab at UMB studying the collective behavior of migrating salmon in Alaska, and the role of brown bear predation, environmental conditions, and social learning in influencing individual and group decisions.
