Frederick Stubbs received his BA, MA and PhD in Ethnomusicology from Wesleyan University in Middletown CT. He was a visiting Fulbright-Hays research Fellow at Istanbul Teknik Universitesi Konservataur while in Istanbul in 1991. A founding member of the Boston-based EurAsia Ensemble, Stubbs currently directs the world music quartet Euphony Groove and a local sound collective Search Party. He appears on CD recordings with these groups, and with others on Interworld, Golden Horn, Karim, and BGI recording companies. Stubbs is the Music Specialist at the Lexington Montessori School, and teaches music and craft privately.
