International Marathons and Premier Race Events
Camp Shriver is thrilled to offer runners new opportunities to run for Team Camp Shriver at international marathons such as the Dublin and Athens Marathon, as well as premier destination races such as the Disney Race Series and the Napa Valley Marathon.
Members of Team Camp Shriver will raise funds to help low-income children with and without disabilities participate in an inclusive summer sports program. Together, we will ensure that all children, with and without disabilities, have an opportunity to learn, grow and have fun as equals. Runners will receive access to:
- a comprehensive marathon training program with the support of professional running coach Rick Muhr;
- team support from Camp Shriver including bi-weekly emails and at least 3 team meetings on zoom;
- additional runner support from our partners at RealBuzz or RunFlutie;
- occasional group training runs in Boston, including coaching support and water stops,
- fundraising support, including one-on-one phone calls / meetings with a development professional,
- Runners Day at Camp Shriver in July;
- personalized thank you notes to all donors,
- Team Camp Shriver running gear, and
- additional team meetings and events to be announced!
