We are 80,000 strong and embody the legacies of many institutions. Today each of these identities, from the Boston Normal School through Boston State College, empowers UMass Boston's mission of providing excellent, affordable public education.
The University of Massachusetts Boston Alumni Relations Office, in partnership with the UMass Boston Alumni Association, engages our alumni as strategic partners in the university community and promotes lifelong, mutually beneficial pursuits for UMass Boston and its alumni. Individuals who have earned a degree or diploma from UMass Boston or any of its legacy institutions — Boston Normal School, Teachers College of the City of Boston, State Teachers College at Boston, State College, Boston State College — are considered alumni of the University of Massachusetts Boston.
Through the UMass Boston Alumni online community you can update your information, create a profile, network with classmates, post your resume and search for a job, get the latest news and event information, and much more. NetworkUMass also allows you to network with alumni from UMass Dartmouth, UMass Lowell, and UMass Medical School.
We invite alumni to join the UMass Boston Alumni Association through a minimum contribution of $25 to the
UMass Boston Fund. Membership offers benefits including lifetime email address and alumni networking through our Alumni Online Community, subscription to the UMass Boston magazine, library borrowing privileges at any UMass campus, discounts at the bookstore and Beacon Fitness Center, and competitive pricing for hotels and car rentals, group home and auto insurance with Liberty Mutual, and more. The Chancellor's Council is another exciting avenue for alumni to share their enthusiasm for strengthening the UMass Boston community. To join, donors make an annual financial commitment of $1,000 or more to the university. To learn more, contact Kelly Westerhouse, director, UMass Boston Fund, at 617.287.5342.
