Tuition is based on a sliding fee scale according to your family size and income. Subsidies are given to currently enrolled UMass students. Other subsidized slots are available on a limited basis to staff and community members who are eligible. We have a contract for subsidized care with the Department of Social Services, for low income parents who are working for attending school full-time. To be considered for a DSS contracted slot, you must provide us with your social security number. Vouchers are accepted. You may call the Center for more information on the sliding scale and the DSS contract.
The community rate for toddlers is $48.00 per day. The rate for preschool and kindergarten is $38.00 per day. This fee is subject to change with 30 days prior notification.
When applicable and as space permits, this fee may be subsidized by any of the following:
- Income-Based Sliding Fee Scale
- UMass Boston Student Scholarship
- Office of Child Care Services Contract
- Child Care Voucher

All parents must sign a fee agreement and present verification of family income in order to qualify for tuition subsidies. UMB students must also present verification of enrollment from the Registrars Office.
