Formerly known as the Calf Pasture Pump Station, this historic waterfront facility next to the campus one pumped city sewage into the Boston Harbor. Now it will help to create a cleaner environment. UMass Boston has acquired it and plans to transform it into a new Environmental Science and Technology Park, which will be used for environmental research and teaching programs. This will allow the University to work within collaborative parternerships to face enviornmental challenges and further its focus on public service.
