  • Check specific details on the above MBTA information at www.mbta.com.

Private Transportation

  • By car from the south: Take Interstate 93 North (Southeast Expressway) to exit 14 (JFK Library/Morrissey Boulevard) and follow Morrissey Boulevard northward to the campus.
  • By car from the west: Take the Massachusetts Turnpike (Interstate 90) east to Interstate 93. Take I-93 South one mile to exit 15 (JFK Library/South Boston/Dorchester) and follow the University of Massachusetts signs along Columbia Road and Morrissey Boulevard to the campus.

Parking

  • Outdoor lots are available at the campus. There are signs on campus to direct you to available parking. However, be advised that campus parking is filled to capacity daily, usually between 9:30 a.m. - noon (and occasionally at other times) and if you arrive during this time, you may have to park in an Auxiliary lot which means it will take you longer to get to your class.
  • Auxiliary lots (located approximately up to a half mile from the campus) are available for use when campus lots are filled to capacity and are located at the McCormack School, St. Christopher's Church and the Bayside Expo Center - all are on Mt. Vernon Street, behind the campus. Shuttle bus service connects these lots with the campus, and with the MBTA Red Line's JFK/UMass Station. Buses run every 10 minutes or so while classes are in session.
  • Parking is currently $6 per day. Special rate, longer-term parking passes are available from the Campus Bookstore (617.287.5090) or the Office of Parking & Transportation (617.287.5040).
  • Carpooling is encouraged, along with use of public transportation. Call 617.287.5043 for information.
